Carnaval started off with a big bang in early January with the Torch Parade. It was filled with joy and colors. New York Times Travel Show 2019

First Class Experience Aruba was present this year again at the New York Times Travel Show. Thanks to AHATA & ATA we got this great opportunity, to promote our services personally in these important market.

New York Times Travel Show is an ultimate travel and tourism industries worldwide. The event is a must-attend for anyone who loves traveling and exploring the beauty of nature.

In 2019 the New York Times Travel Show took place on 25-27 January at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center New York. Over 500 exhibitors representing 150 countries separated into 14 Pavillions was on hand with their information to speak about booking your next dream vacation. The 2018 edition reached a record 30,099 participants – the highest Attendance in our show history. Attendance included 9,253 travel trade and 20,846 consumer attendees during the thre-day event. Participating exhibitors also hit a new record with 560 companies representing over 170 countries. Over 1,300 accredited media journalists from around the world visits the show. Dedicated trade conference draws in over 10,000 high-value travel proffessionals.

SuperBowl Sunday In Aruba -Feb 2nd

This annual event, although primarily celebrated in the US, is viewed globally by millions of people. The football-related festivities definitely make for THE SUNDAY FUNDAY OF THE YEAR!

Grand Tumba Contest – Feb 2nd, 2019
Tumba is an Aruban genre of music unique to the Dutch Caribbean with roots in both Africa and Europe. The songs created for this Carnival competition must be sung in Aruba’s native language, Papiamento. The lyrics written for each song must be related to carnival, and often include humor and satire related to current events on the island.

Chinese New Year – Feb 5th

5 February will mark the passing of Chinese New Year- also known as Lunar New Year. In, 2019 the people of China, as well as different cultures all around the world, including Aruba will be welcoming in the year of the pig. Aquarius Restaurant will have their Chinese New Year Buffet & Azia Restaurant and Lounge will have their Chinese New Year celebration o February 16th, 2019
As one of the oldest immigrants of our island we have their culture in our roots.Here on the island it is always celebrated the sunday before.

As an official public holiday, Chinese people can get seven days’ absence from work, from February 4th to 10th.
